Xcel Energy Signs Deal For Three Bulky Solar Projects

Xcel Energy Incorporation. has signed deals with three calories from fat developers to build up to three giant descendencia arrays to comply with Minnesota's electricity mandates.

Xcel says it wish to proceed with at least two of each projects, a 62-megawatt system nearby Marshall and a 25-megawatt array nearby Tracy.

The largest of the proposals is mostly a 100-megawatt solar generator near North Side. But Xcel says that job may be unnecessary if regulators no problem final approval to a planned, 100-megawatt Aurora Solar project from Edina-based Geronimo Energy that would also play Xcel customers.

Under a 2013 claim law, investor-owned utilities like Xcel are required to get 1 . 5 percent of our electricity from the sun by 2020.

The Minnesota Public Utilities Payment must approve all of deals.
